Additionally, the position demands meticulous record keeping, including managing sales forecasts, maintaining client activity logs, and preparing accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in compliance with company standards.
This position also requires a deep understanding of customer procurement strategies specific to groups and meetings, as well as expertise in account buying behaviors. The manager will actively participate in industry events, trade shows, training sessions, and professional organizations to stay current with market trends and sales techniques. They will also represent the resort at various functions, contributing to the brand’s visibility and reputation.
To succeed, the candidate must exhibit excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills, with a strong ability to negotiate and close sales while addressing client needs and expectations proactively. The position requires working various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of the hospitality and events industry. Travel may be necessary occasionally for meetings, site visits, or industry-related events.

The work environment may involve exposure to cigarette smoke, various weather conditions, and varying noise levels, both indoors and outdoors. This role is pivotal in maintaining the company’s high standards of customer service, operational excellence, and financial performance. Overall, the Catering & Events Sales Manager is an energetic, dedicated professional with a passion for event sales and hospitality, committed to delivering outstanding results in a fast-paced environment.
