Job Description
Driftwood Hospitality Management is a distinguished company in the hospitality industry known for its integrated approach to management and exceptional client service. The company prides itself on a culture that empowers associates to take initiative and be proactive contributors to the success of each property managed. Striving for excellence, Driftwood Hospitality Management comprises a talented team spanning every employee position and hotel under their portfolio, ensuring a high standard of service and operational quality. The organization operates hotels 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, requiring adaptability and commitment from its workforce to meet the dynamic demands of hospitality.
The role of Sales Manager at Driftwood Hospitality Management is pivotal, serving as the local, on-property sales contact for customers. This position is responsible for proactively soliciting and handling all revenue-related sales opportunities, maximizing all avenues for revenue through astute upselling of products and services, and achieving both personal and team revenue goals for the hotel. The Sales Manager ensures a smooth transition of business sales to the service delivery teams while maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
This position demands a professional who not only meets sales targets but also understands the competitive landscape, identifies revenue chances according to event profiles, and nurtures strong relationships with both existing and potential clients. The Sales Manager engages in various proactive selling strategies including targeted solicitation within key accounts, managing customer budgets effectively, conducting site inspections, and responding promptly to inquiries to close opportunities strategically suited to market conditions.
Beyond the sales function, the role requires a commitment to guest satisfaction by maintaining close communication with customers throughout the event phases, handling issues promptly, and ensuring that the products and services provided meet or exceed customer expectations. Furthermore, the Sales Manager is expected to demonstrate leadership qualities, embodying Driftwood Hospitality Management's principles and holding themselves and their team accountable for results.
This position also emphasizes teamwork and ethical conduct, requiring the Sales Manager to foster a respectful work environment and uphold integrity. Effective management of work execution, including adherence to company policies and resource allocation, is critical to ensure that objectives are met efficiently. The Sales Manager is also encouraged to pursue continual personal and organizational learning to improve skills and share best practices within the company.
Candidates must have at least three years of progressive sales experience, preferably within the hospitality sector, with a strong preference for those experienced in selling luxury brands and experiential services. Skills in negotiation, software proficiency including Microsoft Office and hotel-specific systems like Delphi, and exceptional sales and closing abilities are mandatory. Physical demands of the role include frequent walking, standing, and occasional lifting of objects up to ten pounds.
This full-time role offers a competitive benefits package including 401(k), disability and life insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and various employee discounts, reflecting Driftwood Hospitality Management's commitment to its associates' well-being and professional growth. The company is an equal opportunity employer embracing diversity and inclusion across all levels.
