The company is currently seeking a uniquely qualified Catering and Events Manager to join their leadership team. This role is central to ensuring exceptional event experiences for customers, from initial planning through to post-event follow-up. The Catering and Events Manager will coordinate events seamlessly by adhering to established procedures, collaborating with various departments, and managing customer expectations. A key responsibility of this role includes recognizing opportunities to maximize revenue through up-selling and offering event enhancements that create extraordinary occasions. This manager works closely with team members across departments to maintain a high level of service and achieve customer satisfaction.

Job Duties

  • Ensures that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees and ensuring accuracy
  • Ensures billing accuracy, conducting bill reviews with the customer prior to processing the final bill
  • Manages group room blocks and meeting space for average to large-sized assigned groups
  • Identifies operational challenges associated with groups and determines how to best work with the property staff and customer to solve these challenges and develop alternative solutions
  • Uses good judgment to integrate current trends in event management and event design
  • Acts as liaison between field sales person and customers throughout the event process
  • Participates in customer site inspections and assists with the sales process as necessary
