The role of Catering & Events Manager at Ascent Hospitality holds significant responsibility and is crucial to the company’s event management division. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in sales manager or supervisor role
  • valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in microsoft office suite
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to multi-task and manage time effectively

Job Qualifications

  • high school education is required college education is preferred
  • prior experience in sales manager or supervisor role
  • excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • highly responsible reliable and ethical

  • proficiency in microsoft office applications
  • previous experience as a catering and events manager or supervisor preferred hospitality industry
  • ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
  • must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle

Job Duties

  • ensure that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures collaborating with other employees and ensuring accuracy
  • ensure billing accuracy conducting bill reviews with the customer prior to processing the final bill
  • manage group room blocks and meeting space for average to large-sized assigned groups
  • identify operational challenges associated with groups and determine how to best work with the property staff and customer to solve these challenges and develop alternative solutions
  • use good judgment to integrate current trends in event management and event design
  • act as liaison between field sales person and customers throughout the event process
  • participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary
