Job Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years in event planning catering management or a related field
Four-year college degree or 2 years of college and 4 years of work experience
Ability to collaborate with various departments and external vendors
Experience in leading and developing teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Proactive in problem-solving

Job Duties

Support the Director of Sales as the primary liaison for groups in-house ensuring seamless communication and coordination across hotel portfolios
Develop existing business and actively solicit new catering opportunities locally and regionally expanding reach and influence
Book sell and plan coordinate special social events assuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the process
Generate revenue by establishing new accounts monitoring booking space and maintaining high-quality standards conducting catering sales presentations and making sales calls to attract new clients
Own and manage all Banquet Event Orders for upcoming events at all hotels guaranteeing every detail is executed flawlessly
Plan food and beverage menus that cater to clients’ preferences and special requests creating memorable culinary experiences
Ensure that all events meet or exceed client expectations by providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns promptly to enhance overall guest experiences
Work closely with clients and internal teams to create customized event experiences that align with the brand incorporating themes and unique elements
Gather and analyze feedback from clients and guests post-events to continually improve service offerings and foster long-term relationships
Partner with General Managers at each property to oversee and support event operations coordinating event logistics aligning operational needs and ensuring consistent quality and service standards
