Job Description
Collared Martin Hospitality is a dynamic and innovative hospitality company established in January 2025. Operating the Faraway brand along with a curated collection of independent lifestyle and luxury boutique hotels, restaurants, and cocktail clubs, Collared Martin Hospitality manages an impressive portfolio of hospitality real estate assets valued at over one billion dollars under Blue Flag Capital. This company prioritizes personal connections, inspired by the symbolism of exploration, loyalty, and homecoming that underpins the Collared Martin brand. Their approach to hospitality is deeply rooted in delivering authentic, soulful experiences with meticulous attention to detail and a genuine connection to the local environment. The result is an unparalleled guest experience where every property is not just a stay but a memorable destination that captures the spirit of its surroundings.
The role of Catering and Events Manager at Collared Martin Hospitality is integral to continuing this tradition of excellence. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this position is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and supports multiple properties within the Collared Martin Hospitality portfolio, requiring frequent travel. The Catering and Events Manager is tasked with orchestrating exceptional event experiences that uphold the brand’s commitment to superior quality and service. This involves comprehensive event coordination from initial client consultations through to flawless execution, ensuring that events mirror the standards that make Collared Martin Hospitality a leader in boutique luxury.
This position demands a blend of organizational prowess, creativity, and a passion for hospitality. Candidates must exhibit an ability to generate new business opportunities while nurturing long-term client relationships. Key responsibilities include managing Banquet Event Orders, planning customized menus, and collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to tailor unique events that reflect the Faraway brand ethos. The manager also plays a vital role in generating revenue through business development, booking, selling, and coordinating special social events. Event execution emphasizes achieving outstanding customer satisfaction by addressing client needs and concerns proactively, cultivating repeat business and client loyalty.
Candidates must be adept at juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, requiring exceptional multitasking and communication skills. Familiarity with state-of-the-art catering management software, such as Tripleseat, Opera Cloud, Visiting Media, and Toast, is essential to streamline operations and maintain high standards of event planning. The role includes cross-property coordination with General Managers to ensure consistency in quality and service across all venues.
This full-time position entails evening and weekend availability to support live events, underscoring the importance of flexibility and commitment to the hospitality lifestyle. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrating leadership abilities while benefiting from a welcoming and vibrant company culture. With a competitive compensation package that includes an annual bonus of up to 10 percent, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off available based on eligibility, this role offers not only a chance to advance one’s career in a leading hospitality group but also to be part of an inspired team dedicated to redefining the guest experience through authentic connections and exceptional service.
