The role of the South & Central Florida Marketing & Events Manager for Playa Bowls encompasses the responsibility for overseeing the marketing, catering, events, and food truck operations for several locations owned by PB Miami and PB Central Florida area sites. This is a full-time position that requires a highly organized, creative, and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced and community-focused environment. The manager acts as a vital link between the brand and the customers by coordinating events, managing sponsorships, and driving sales through innovative marketing campaigns.
Key responsibilities include managing outbound and inbound inquiries relating to events, catering, sponsorships, and promotional activities. The marketing and events manager will generate quotes and invoices, attend events for setup and breakdown, and ensure smooth execution of all activities to uphold the Playa Bowls brand standards. Collaboration with shop general managers and the social media director is essential to ensure event staffing, product management, and promotional efforts effectively increase customer counts, sales, and profitability.
A significant part of the role is the management of the food truck, which involves transporting and executing promotional events while maintaining brand consistency and high standards of service and product quality. The manager must be comfortable working on weekends, holidays, and traveling for events, requiring a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Beyond operational management, the position demands strong analytical skills to evaluate data, set performance goals, and develop actionable marketing strategies. The ideal candidate is a proactive thinker and problem solver who excels in communication and teamwork, bringing creativity and out-of-the-box ideas to engage new and existing customers. Proficiency with software tools such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Canva supports the effective execution of marketing material and communication.

Job Requirements
- Previous experience in marketing or event coordination
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive and operate the food truck
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to travel for events and meetings
- Physical ability to lift 25-50 pounds occasionally and remain stationary for long periods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Job Duties
- Oversee all marketing, catering, events and food truck operations for Playa Bowls South and Central Florida locations
- Drive food truck to events and perform setup and breakdown activities
- Manage and track all inbound and outbound inquiries, events, sponsorships, and caterings
- Generate quotes and invoices and assist onsite with event preparation and execution
- Manage catering orders including ezCater and in-store inquiries and fulfillments from preparation through to delivery and payment processing
- Track and manage shop-level fundraisers, donations, athlete, and influencer programs
- Coordinate event staffing, product management, and catering orders with shop general managers
- Collaborate with Social Media Director on influencer engagement, giveaways, and promotions to increase followers and rewards program members
- Conduct daily outreach to book catering and events, maintaining a master contact list
- Ensure team accountability for product quality, consistency, service speed, cleanliness, and customer service
- Foster a positive work environment to achieve business results including increased customer traffic, sales, and profits
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational KPIs
