Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in catering or event sales and planning
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Proficiency with marketing and sales techniques
  • Familiarity with hospitality standards and contractual agreements
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to attract new clients and grow existing accounts within the catering and event space
  • Conduct detailed consultations with clients to understand their event needs, budget, and vision, providing tailored proposals that highlight our offerings
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to secure bookings that benefit both the client and the organization
  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including menu selection, decor, staffing, equipment rental, and timeline management
  • Collaborate with culinary teams, banquet staff, and vendors to ensure flawless execution of each event from setup to breakdown
  • Implement effective marketing strategies for promoting upcoming events through various channels such as social media, email campaigns, and community outreach
  • Upsell additional services or packages to maximize revenue opportunities while maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Manage budgets for events meticulously to ensure profitability without compromising quality or guest experience
  • Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues efficiently during events
  • Maintain organized records of contracts, client communications, event details, and post-event feedback for continuous improvement
