This particular opportunity is based in a prestigious Manhattan landmark located on Billionaires' Row, an exclusive address situated between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue. This iconic property, designed by the acclaimed architect I.M. Pei, offers five-star hotel living with a modern-deco aesthetic. Guests enjoy some of the largest and sunlit suites in Manhattan as well as breathtaking views of Central Park and the city skyline. This location is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-end hospitality setting and seek to contribute to maintaining and elevating the hotel’s reputation for excellence in luxury service.
The role available is the Catering & Conference Services Sales Manager. This position is pivotal in orchestrating exceptional events that align with the hotel’s standard of luxury while maximizing revenue and client satisfaction. The manager will take charge of negotiating and crafting compelling event proposals, managing extensive event logistics, and overseeing the flawless execution of banquets and conferences. Responsibilities include preparing banquet event orders, collaborating with different internal departments, and coordinating with external vendors to ensure all client needs are met comprehensively.
This role demands a dynamic individual with creativity, sharp organizational capabilities, and the resilience to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. The Catering & Conference Services Sales Manager must maintain a fine balance between exceeding client expectations and achieving the financial objectives of the hotel. Problem-solving skills and the ability to address challenges proactively during event planning and execution are crucial. The successful candidate will foster strong collaboration among hotel teams while delivering personalized and attentive service, playing an essential role in creating unique and memorable guest experiences.
This position offers a competitive salary range from $85,000 to $90,000 annually and comes with a comprehensive benefit package. The work schedule is flexible and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of event management in a luxury hotel setting.
