After an extensive renovation, the Fairmont Breakers has re-emerged as Long Beach's only luxury hotel, blending its storied past with modern amenities to provide an unparalleled guest experience. The hotel boasts 185 boutique rooms and suites, a rooftop pool and terrace with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, and an open-air rooftop lounge that invites guests to relax and take in the coastal ambiance. The two-story spa, wellness, and fitness center offer a serene escape, and dining venues like Nettuno and Sky Room provide elevated coastal Italian cuisine and sophisticated dining experiences among the stars. Additionally, the property features a live jazz club and 10,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor function spaces, making it an ideal destination for both leisure and corporate guests.
The role at Fairmont Breakers centers on managing the social catering market, focusing on traditional event spaces. This position involves prospecting, soliciting, and nurturing client relationships from the initial contact through to event completion. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, organizing convention bookings, and maintaining detailed event files to ensure seamless operations. The catering professional will confirm all event-related requirements such as meeting specifications, audio-visual needs, rooming lists, and food and beverage orders to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency. Additionally, this role emphasizes maximizing the use of function spaces for optimal guest experience and financial success. The candidate will also handle billing procedures, conduct pre-event meetings, and maintain active communication with clients before, during, and after events to foster long-term relationships. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, is essential. Beyond operational duties, the individual will serve as an ambassador for the hotel within the local community, engaging in associations and membership activities. This position offers a salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 gross per annum and provides employees with numerous benefits, including discounted rates at sister properties worldwide and professional development opportunities through Accor's learning academies. Joining Fairmont Breakers means becoming part of a diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environment that values integrity and encourages growth. The hotel is committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring that all employees experience a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
