The Catalog Sales Assistant position at Cintas is a full-time, first-shift role within the Rental organization, offering a competitive hourly wage typically ranging from $19.84 to $25.01 based on the candidate's skills, experience, and organizational needs. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations within the catalog sales department by providing support through various administrative and customer-focused tasks. The Catalog Sales Assistant will maintain daily communication with internal catalog team members, Sales Representatives, and current as well as potential business customers. They are responsible for processing product orders from the catalog, entering orders into computer systems, and tracking shipping and delivery progress. Additionally, this role requires the candidate to compile and analyze sales data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to monitor growth and profitability in alignment with business projections.

Handling a variety of administrative duties is essential to the role, including composing memorandums and letters, creating forms, and preparing promotional marketing materials such as catalog flyers and postings. The job demands the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while managing emergency requests and prioritizing daily tasks. Communication will primarily occur via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions, requiring strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy, have basic administrative skills, and be comfortable using commonly employed software tools. This role is designed for individuals eager to contribute to team success through reliable and organized support of sales operations. The Catalog Sales Assistant is integral to maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting the catalog sales team’s productivity, making it a crucial function within the company’s broader Rental department.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Accurate typing and numeric keypad skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic administrative experience
  • Proficiency with computers and software systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Communicate daily with catalog team members and sales representatives
  • Assist potential and existing customers in placing catalog product orders
  • Key orders accurately into the computer system
  • Track the shipping and delivery status of orders
  • Calculate catalog sales orders daily, weekly, and monthly to measure growth and profitability
