Transdev is currently seeking an experienced Van Driver to join its prestigious team based in Lansing, Michigan. The successful candidate will be entrusted with executing flawless operations by meticulously following assigned routes and schedules, with a strong focus on safety and adherence to all traffic laws and company protocols. Passenger care is paramount, requiring the driver to assist passengers with boarding and disembarkation while providing a smooth and comfortable ride experience. Vehicle upkeep is essential, involving pre-trip and post-trip inspections, timely reporting of any maintenance concerns, and maintaining cleanliness and safety equipment standards. The role also demands a strict compliance with company policies such as seat belt enforcement and emergency procedures, ensuring the safety of all passengers and team members. This position requires excellent communication skills, a valid Chauffeur’s license from Michigan, and at least three years of driving experience. Availability for flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and nights is also necessary.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Michigan Chauffeurs license
  • Minimum 3 years driving experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability for flexible shifts including nights and weekends
  • Ability to pass DOT drug screening and physical examination
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Hold a valid Chauffeurs license from the state of Michigan
  • Have a minimum of 3 years driving experience
  • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Be available to work day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts
  • Be subject to DOT drug testing and physical examinations if applicable

Job Duties

  • Execute flawless operations by following designated routes and schedules while adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations
  • Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers ensuring smooth boarding and comfortable rides
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance issues
