The Casual Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) role on the Neurosurgery Unit 6D at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital is an integral position designed for individuals interested in beginning a meaningful career in healthcare without direct clinical responsibilities. This casual employment opportunity provides a flexible schedule where team members complete 36 hours over six weeks, with shifts lasting either 8 or 12 hours during day or evening times. In this role, a Patient & Family Concierge acts as a friendly and compassionate ambassador for the Neurosurgery Unit, greeting visitors, assisting with various logistical tasks, and helping maintain an organized and welcoming environment. Responsibilities include escorting patients and visitors through the hospital, supporting patient transport internally, delivering meals to those admitted, and replenishing supplies necessary for daily operations.
