Job Description

Players Edge is a distinguished employee role at a prominent casino operation, where maintaining the integrity and smooth flow of table games is paramount. This position involves sitting at table games such as California style Blackjack or Three Card Poker within your assigned casino. Players Edge employees are responsible for verifying that game rules are strictly followed and act as a secondary checkpoint working alongside the dealer to accurately handle wins and losses. This ensures fairness and maintains the high standards expected by both the casino and its patrons. The role not only demands attention to detail and thorough knowledge of game procedures but also requires exceptional customer interaction skills, as this position contributes to a positive gaming environment.

The Players Edge role offers more than just an opportunity to be part of a vibrant casino setting; it comes with a generous benefit package and employee incentives designed to support overall well-being and job satisfaction. One standout feature is the $1000 Hiring Bonus available to any new hire who possesses a valid Third-Party Proposition Player Services License Badge (TPPPS Worker License), although certain restrictions apply. This is a compelling incentive for qualified candidates looking to enter the gaming industry or advance in their careers. Employment in this role requires adherence to specific standards including maintaining the appropriate licensing through the Bureau of Gambling Control, ensuring that compliance is met while empowering employees with the tools necessary to excel in their responsibilities.

Employees in this position are expected to work various shifts including graveyard or swing shifts and must be available during weekends and holidays. This flexibility allows the casino to maintain continuous, effective coverage at the gaming tables while also offering employees opportunities for shift differentials, including a $2 per hour night shift premium that enhances overall compensation. The Player’s Edge position is ideal for individuals who excel in fast-paced, customer-focused environments and have strong mental math skills including proficiency in addition, subtraction, and multiplication which are vital to handling bets and payouts accurately.

In addition to its dynamic work environment, the role involves certain physical requirements such as the ability to sit or stand at a gaming table for extended periods, as well as light lifting and dexterity with casino chips and equipment necessary for game operations. This combination of responsibilities offers a unique opportunity to engage with the exciting world of casino gaming while developing skills that are valuable in the broader hospitality and entertainment sectors. Overall, the Player’s Edge role is an essential part of the casino’s team, dedicated to delivering a seamless and enjoyable gaming experience for every guest.
