Job Description
Players Edge is a distinguished entity operating within the casino gaming industry, renowned for its commitment to maintaining the integrity and excitement of table games. As an essential part of the casino environment, Players Edge employees play a critical role in ensuring fair play and smooth operation of popular table games such as California style Blackjack and Three Card Poker. These games attract a diverse array of players seeking an engaging and authentic casino experience. The company values precision, integrity, and comprehensive knowledge of gaming rules to uphold the trust of patrons and the overall reputation of the casino.
Working as a Players Edge employee entails sitting at assigned gaming tables within the casino premises where you oversee the flow of the game. Your primary responsibility is to make sure that all game rules are strictly adhered to, serving as a double-check on the dealer’s actions. This includes handling win and loss calculations accurately to prevent disputes and enhance the gaming experience for the customers. The role demands a keen eye for detail and the ability to perform quick mental math calculations efficiently, as well as a strong customer service orientation to facilitate positive interactions with patrons.
The company offers a $1000 hiring bonus for new hires who possess a valid Third-Party Proposition Player Services License Badge (TPPPS Worker License), subject to specific restrictions. This incentive demonstrates Players Edge’s commitment to attracting qualified professionals who bring experience and licensure to their positions. Employees must also successfully apply for and maintain a license from the Bureau of Gambling Control, reinforcing the emphasis on regulatory compliance and professional standards within the gaming industry.
Position holders must be at least 21 years of age and available to work swing or graveyard shifts, including weekends and holidays, reflecting the casino's operational hours and the dynamic nature of the gaming floor. Strong mental math skills in addition, subtraction, and multiplication are essential for performing the role effectively. Physical demands may include sitting or standing for extended periods as well as simple manual tasks like grasping casino chips and handling chip trays.
Players Edge supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote health, financial security, and work-life balance. Employees can access medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, including a PPO medical plan starting at $10 per pay period, a generous 401(k) match, employee assistance programs, company-paid life insurance, employee recognition programs, paid time off, paid sick leave, and a night shift differential of $2 per hour. This extensive benefits package reflects Players Edge’s dedication to fostering a supportive and rewarding work environment.
Overall, the role of a Players Edge employee is integral to the casino experience. It offers a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant and fast-paced atmosphere, ensuring gaming integrity while interacting with a diverse clientele. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in customer service, have a passion for casino gaming, and are committed to upholding the highest standards of fairness and professionalism in a regulated environment.
