Job Description
Delaware North Gaming is a renowned hospitality and gaming company known for its passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. With over a century of history, Delaware North operates a diverse portfolio that includes iconic sports arenas, stunning national parks, exciting casinos, hotels, restaurants, and retail operations across the globe. One of its premier properties, Southland Casino Hotel in West Memphis, Arkansas, stands as a testament to Delaware North’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The casino features more than 2200 slot machines and a variety of live gaming tables such as blackjack, craps, and roulette, catering to a vibrant entertainment scene. The hotel offers 300 luxurious rooms and suites, providing a holistic and inviting environment for guests seeking relaxation and entertainment just a short drive from downtown Memphis, Tennessee.
Southland Casino Hotel, under Delaware North’s ownership and management, prioritizes both guest satisfaction and employee development. The company fosters a workplace culture centered on respect, teamwork, and continuous growth, empowering its team members through training, professional development, and opportunities for upward mobility within the organization. Delaware North is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace where individuals from various backgrounds can thrive.
The Barback position at Southland Casino represents an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in hospitality and gaming to become an integral part of a dynamic team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of the casino’s beverage services by tracking and stocking inventory, delivering beverages throughout the facility, and supporting bartenders and other team members. As a Barback, you will contribute directly to positive guest experiences by ensuring that beverage stations are well-stocked and ready for service, and by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
This part-time or full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $15.00 per hour, exclusive of any additional tipped income, making it an appealing option for proactive candidates who enjoy working in fast-paced, customer-focused settings. The role demands strong physical stamina, as it involves lifting and moving heavy items, standing for extended periods, and actively navigating the casino floor. However, it also provides a supportive environment with flexible shift options including days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events, accommodating a variety of scheduling needs.
In addition to the immediate job responsibilities, Delaware North supports its employees’ overall well-being through a comprehensive benefits package. Team members receive weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible schedules. Eligible employees may also access health, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, paid vacation and holidays, parental bonding leave, an employee assistance program, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement, highlighting the company’s commitment to the personal and professional growth of its workforce.
