This is a retail role focused on helping customers find products, providing solutions, and promoting company programs such as the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards. Team members are responsible for maintaining store standards through tasks like truck unloading, restocking, merchandising, and recovery to keep the store well-organized and in-stock. The role demands engaging with customers during checkout, handling cash transactions accurately, and educating customers on feedback surveys and omni-channel services such as Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). This position is essential in supporting the store’s shrink and safety initiatives and upholding Standard Operating Procedures and company policies to ensure legal compliance and operational excellence. Additionally, employees serve as brand ambassadors by projecting a positive image, promoting the organization’s vision, and modeling respectful and inclusive behavior, even in challenging situations. Cross training in custom framing selling and production is also part of the responsibilities, enhancing the skill set of the team member.\n\nWorking at Michaels requires standing for extended periods and physical activities including lifting, bending, and accessing high shelves. The environment is a public retail store setting with mostly climate-controlled areas, though some stockrooms may not be climate-controlled and some outdoor tasks may be assigned. Working hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings, reflecting the dynamic retail environment. Job Duties

  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • provide a fast and friendly checkout experience
  • execute cash handling to standards
  • engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
  • educate customers on the Voice of Customer survey
  • assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • interact respectfully with others
