The Store Associate role at the RAL-CARY, NC location is an integral part of the customer experience and operational success. This position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service by actively engaging customers, helping them locate products, and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs. Team members in this role are expected to ensure a fast and seamless checkout process, adhering to cash handling standards, while promoting benefits like the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards. Alongside customer interactions, the associate performs essential store duties such as truck unloading, stocking, planogram execution, merchandise recovery, and maintenance to ensure the store remains visually appealing and well-stocked. The role involves supporting various company programs related to safety, shrink prevention, and compliance with standard operating procedures. Additional responsibilities include cross-training in custom framing selling and production, participation in Omni channel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS), and maintaining a positive and professional attitude while representing Michaels' values. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy boxes, and using ladders to access high shelves, all within a public retail environment that may involve some outdoor activities. Candidates must be at least sixteen years old and meet federal, state, and local legal requirements. Job Duties
- Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
- provide a fast and friendly checkout experience
- execute cash handling to standards
- engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
- educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
- assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
- participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
- complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery
- perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
- support shrink and safety programs
- adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs
- execute Company policies and standards
- interact with others in a respectful manner
- promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values
- be cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
- perform other duties as assigned
