Fas Mart is a leading convenience store brand operated by GPM Investments, LLC, a prominent company in the retail fuel and convenience store industry. With numerous locations across multiple states, Fas Mart is known for providing quality customer service, clean and well-stocked stores, and a wide variety of products including fuel, groceries, lottery tickets, cigarettes, and alcoholic beverages. The company values its employees' contributions to creating a positive shopping experience, fostering a team-oriented work environment, and promoting from within to support career advancement. Fas Mart stores serve diverse communities and operate with a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
The role of a Morning Sales Associate at Fas Mart, specifically at the location on 11919 Fort St., is a vital part-time position designed for early risers who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment. This position primarily involves working morning shifts which typically start between 5 AM and 7 AM, coinciding with the store's busiest hours. Morning Sales Associates are instrumental in setting a positive tone for the day by managing a variety of tasks that ensure the store operates efficiently and remains welcoming to customers. These team members are expected to be highly reliable and capable of multitasking, handling everything from customer service at the register to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of both the interior and exterior store areas.
Morning Sales Associates greet customers warmly, operate registers with accuracy and speed, and become proficient in selling regulated products such as lottery tickets, cigarettes, and alcoholic beverages, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements including age verification. Additionally, these associates actively contribute to sales growth by offering friendly service and upselling where appropriate. Their responsibilities extend beyond customer interaction; they maintain cleanliness through deep cleaning of high-use restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, trash pickup in all weather conditions, and keeping shelves and coolers stocked and organized.
This position demands physical stamina, as associates are often required to stand for most of their shift and handle lifting tasks involving merchandise stocking. The role also includes flexibility with cross-training opportunities in other departments like deli if needed. Fas Mart values team players who are adaptable, responsible, detail-oriented, and have a positive attitude to help maintain a smooth and safe store environment.
The Morning Sales Associate position offers a competitive pay rate of $15 per hour and comes with benefits such as free soda or coffee during work, weekly pay, flexible scheduling options including part-time and full-time availability, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities for advancement within the company. This role is ideal for individuals who are energetic, eager to work hard, and ready to contribute to a team committed to customer service excellence and operational efficiency. Fas Mart supports equal employment opportunity, provides a drug-free workplace, and participates in E-Verify to ensure legal employment practices.
