Job Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 pounds
standing/walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
ability to perform hand use motions such as grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
ability to work in various temperatures including freezing, refrigeration, and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
ability to use tools and equipment such as box cutters and electric pallet jacks
no prior retail experience required

Job Duties

Bags groceries
retrieves carts and baskets
cleans, sweeps, mops, stocks products, and helps ensure overall maintenance of the department
may operate cash register equipment (not all Cashier's Assistants will have cash handling responsibility)
assists supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines
arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
follows and complies with established procedures including health and sanitation and safe work practices
maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
immediately reports safety hazards and violations
performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
