This role is integral to ensuring guests receive a warm reception and seamless service experience within the restaurant setting of one of Boyd Gaming's facilities. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting and escorting guests to their tables, as well as managing transactions through a computerized cash register system. This position requires a blend of excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial transactions accurately. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction and operational efficiency, making it a critical component in the hospitality services offered by Boyd Gaming. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cashier or host preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and escort guests to their table
  • accept payments from restaurant guests utilizing a computerized cash register and maintain an accurate bank
  • provide menus to guests and inform them of specials
  • circulate through restaurant and coordinate activities of service personnel to provide fast and courteous service to customers
  • assign bus person and food server breaks
  • inspect and monitor cleanliness of room and compliance with safety and health code regulations
  • resolve customer complaints or refers to restaurant manager
  • maintain records of number of guests served during shift, employee absences, or problems with equipment of food service
  • operate computerized cash register to itemize and process guest checks in accordance with established procedures
