This job opening is for a full-time Cashier/Food Service Worker position at Estrella Foothills High School in Goodyear, Arizona. The role operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 1:30 pm and offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $17.00. As a cashier and food service worker, the individual will handle a variety of tasks centered around food preparation, cashier duties, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the cafeteria and service areas. Responsibilities include operating the Point of Sale (POS) system to process payments, assisting the chef in food preparation such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, as well as supporting catering orders. The position also involves restocking supplies, setting up serving lines, monitoring and recording food temperatures for safety, and ensuring all perishables are rotated properly using the first-in, first-out rule.

Beyond typical food service tasks, the role requires performing general cleaning duties, including trash removal and maintaining a hygienic work environment. Cash handling accuracy and making deposits at the end of shifts are critical elements of the position.
