We are currently hiring both full-time and part-time Cashier/Food Service Worker positions located at the Mayo Clinic Charter House in Rochester, MN. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. Successful candidates will operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, assist the chef in food preparation, and maintain cleanliness standards in both coffee and cashier stations. This position requires flexibility with work schedules, as days and hours may vary and include rotating weekends and holidays. The fixed pay rate for this role is $18.50 per hour. Prior experience in food service and cashier roles is preferred but not mandatory, offering a great opportunity for motivated individuals eager to join a respected healthcare food services team.

In this role, the Cashier/Food Service Worker contributes to the overall dining experience by preparing a variety of foods, including meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, as well as catering orders. The position is responsible for handling cashier duties with accuracy, ensuring precise cash handling and proper deposits at shift end. Daily responsibilities also include inventory management, restocking supplies, monitoring food temperatures, and adhering to food safety guidelines by rotating stock and maintaining appropriate refrigerator conditions. The role involves delivering high-quality service across all retail areas, ensuring that customers receive prompt and friendly assistance.
