Sodexo is currently seeking a part-time Cashier/Food Service Worker to join its team at the Cheektowaga-Maryvale Union Free Schools location. This role offers a wage of $16.00 per hour and involves working weekday shifts that may vary between morning, afternoon, and evening, with specific scheduling details provided during the interview. As a Cashier/Food Service Worker, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service by warmly greeting and assisting clients, operating the cash register efficiently, and handling cash and credit transactions accurately. The role also involves support in food service operations such as setting up counters and steamtables, maintaining supplies, assisting with cleanup, and closing down the retail operation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to work weekday morning, afternoon, or evening shifts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately

Job Duties

  • Work in the food service operation handling cash and credit transactions from Sodexo and client customers
  • Assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables
  • Provide support to the retail operation including setup, maintaining supplies and products, and assisting in cleanup and closedown
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
