The University of Saint Joseph, in partnership with Sodexo, is currently seeking a full-time Cashier/Food Service Worker to join their team. This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $17.50 to $19.50, with shifts primarily during afternoons and evenings on varying days, including some weekends and holidays. As a Cashier/Food Service Worker at Sodexo, you will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and positive customer experience. This position involves operating the cash register, processing cash and credit transactions efficiently, and maintaining a customer-first attitude that reflects Sodexo's commitment to service excellence.

Beyond cashier responsibilities, the role encompasses assisting in food service operations which includes setup and serving food from counters and steam tables. Supporting the retail operation through supply management, product upkeep, and assisting in cleanup and closedown activities will be part of your daily tasks. This dynamic role requires punctuality, reliability, and a flexible mindset, as duties may vary across accounts depending on business needs and client requirements.

Job Duties

  • Work in the food service operation handling cash and credit transactions from Sodexo and client customers
  • Assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steam tables
  • Provide support to the retail operation including setup maintaining supplies and products and assisting in cleanup and closedown
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
