This position involves accurately processing transactions using a register or point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash and credit card payments, and balancing the cash drawer. Attention to detail is essential, as you will be responsible for organizing cashier slips, making deposits, and adhering strictly to Aramark’s cash handling policies and procedures. Beyond transactional duties, you’ll ensure that the work environment is clean, sanitary, and well-stocked, contributing to a seamless operation that enhances customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Must have basic math and counting skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to complete Food Handler and Alcohol Service trainings as required by location
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and/or stand for extended periods as needed
  • Ability to wear uniforms and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Basic math and counting skills required
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Complete Food Handler and Alcohol Service trainings as required by location

Job Duties

  • Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
  • Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits
  • Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures
  • Understand and be knowledgeable of the merchandise for sale to assist customers and accurately process transactions
  • Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned for unit based on operating hours
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during service and at the end of shift
  • Ensure product in location is stocked to appropriate levels throughout service and replenish items as needed
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
