This role involves assisting customers during the check-out process by accurately performing cash register functions and managing transactions including the handling of cash, checks, credit, and other payment methods while adhering to all company policies and government regulations. In addition to check-out duties, you will support the store by bagging groceries, assisting at the customer service desk, and managing customer flow to minimize wait times. The position requires versatility, as team members are expected to assist with other tasks within the Customer Service & E-Commerce team such as shopper responsibilities and supporting new team members through training. You will be responsible for keeping the front end area clean, stocked, and orderly, while also ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Standing/walking 6-8 hours per day
- Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions required
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet and cold environments
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- May require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
- Upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
- Follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
- Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register
- Follows all cash handling procedures
- Assists with training new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members
- Controls customer flow and backed up lines to reduce waiting time
