Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing or walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- capable of hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- able to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and cold environments
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders
- no prior retail experience required

Job Duties
- Check out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
- uphold government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
- follow proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
- use proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items
- clean and stock Front End areas including own register
- follow all cash handling procedures exceeding regional cashier variance policy
- assist with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members
- assist supervisor in controlling customer flow and reducing waiting time
- participate proactively in company programs as directed by leadership
- arrive to workstation on time, appropriately groomed and dressed
- provide excellent customer service addressing needs promptly and modeling suggestive selling techniques
- maximize sales potential through prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- maintain compliance with Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- perform opening, mid, and closing duties
- ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
- report safety hazards and violations immediately
- perform other duties as assigned by leadership
- complete assigned shopper training and tasks as needed
