As a Customer Service & E-Commerce Team Member at Whole Foods Market, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience for customers. This is an entry-level position where you will assist customers during the checkout process by performing all cash register functions, bagging groceries, and managing customer service desk activities. Your role is essential in maintaining attractive customer service displays and supporting the store’s vision by delivering courteous, friendly, and efficient service at all times. You will also have the opportunity to perform additional tasks such as supporting the e-commerce team, assisting with cashier training, controlling customer flow, and participating in company initiatives.

Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing or walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- ability to bend, twist, squat and reach
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- ability to work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and cold environments
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
- upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
- follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
- uses proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items
- cleans and stocks front end areas including own register
- follows all cash handling procedures meeting and exceeding cashier variance policy
- assists with training new cashier and cashier assistant team members
- assists supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines to reduce waiting time
- proactively participates in company programs
- arrives to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- provides excellent customer service and addresses needs timely and effectively
- maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- follows and complies with procedures including weights and measures, health, sanitation, and safe work practices
- maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- performs opening, mid, and closing duties ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing
- reports safety hazards and violations immediately
- performs other duties as assigned by store or company leadership
- completes shopper training and may be assigned shopper tasks within the customer service team
