CEC Entertainment promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, ensuring that its workforce reflects the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of the communities they serve, with a strong stance as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Now hiring for the position of Cashier, Chuck E. Cheese offers an excellent opportunity for first-time job seekers or those looking to build exciting careers. Cashiers at Chuck E. Cheese serve as the frontline of guest service, playing a pivotal role by taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prizes, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The company empowers its Cast Members through cross-training in various roles, supporting career growth and internal promotion — over 60% of managers have been promoted from within the organization.
This position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $16.94 to $17.94 per hour. Additionally, there is a commission program that enables employees to earn extra income based on memberships and Fun Pass sales. Non-exempt employees can earn commissions from $2.00 to $8.00 per membership sale and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass sale, paid bi-weekly. Exempt employees have commission potentials ranging from $0.50 to $10.00 and $0.15 to $3.00 respectively, also paid bi-weekly.
Chuck E. Cheese is proud to offer a "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access their earned wages without waiting for the typical paycheck cycle. Cashiers should be energetic, enthusiastic, and capable of interacting enjoyably with guests and coworkers in a fast-paced environment that involves standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and navigating through dynamic amusement spaces with flashing lights and mechanical equipment.
Several benefits and perks are available to support the well-being of employees. All employees have access to telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may opt into fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision plans, and voluntary life and disability insurance. Full-time employees who work an average of 29.5 hours or more per week are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays where applicable, FSA/HSA options, legal coverage, and additional educational support.
CEC Entertainment fosters a welcoming workplace that values diversity and the safety and health of everyone involved. The company also complies with state and local laws regarding paid sick leave and accommodations for individuals with disabilities. Overall, working as a Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese combines the enjoyment of being part of a family-focused entertainment company with opportunities for personal and professional growth, competitive pay, commission incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
