Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. Known for creating joyful, lasting memories for kids and families, CEC Entertainment celebrates over half a million birthdays annually at its venues, making it the go-to destination for family fun and dining. The company is committed to safety, employee well-being, and community support, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. In 2025, Chuck E. Cheese was honored with the "Best in STEM" award and recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces, further demonstrating its dedication to innovation and an inclusive work culture.
Chuck E. Cheese represents the perfect blend of food and fun, designed to be a place where kids can be kids and families can create lasting memories. At CEC Entertainment, the focus is on providing a safe, entertaining, and welcoming environment through unique programs such as Kid Check®, designed to protect children visiting the establishment. Meanwhile, Peter Piper Pizza offers a neighborhood pizzeria experience with quality food, engaging entertainment, and a community-centric atmosphere. Both brands prioritize play, physical wellness, and motor skill development in children through a variety of attractions and activities.
CEC Entertainment operates nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, fostering a culture that celebrates diversity and emphasizes fun as a unifying force for families. The company's commitment to culture and inclusion is reflected in its equal opportunity policies, ensuring nondiscriminatory hiring practices that welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
The role available is that of a Cashier, a frontline position essential to delivering exceptional guest service. Cashiers at Chuck E. Cheese are responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prizes, and engaging guests with an energetic and enthusiastic personality. This position serves as the first point of contact for customers, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
CEC Entertainment offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.90 to $17.90, along with exciting commission opportunities for exempt and non-exempt employees based on membership and Fun Pass sales, paid out bi-weekly. The role benefits from the "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access earned wages without waiting for the traditional paycheck cycle.
As a company, CEC Entertainment supports its employees through a comprehensive benefits package available to nationwide staff. These benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, and other perks tailored to full-time and part-time employment statuses. Full-time employees averaging more than 29.5 hours per week receive additional benefits such as paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), voluntary benefits, legal coverage, and education assistance including scholarships and student loan support. Part-time employees are eligible for fixed indemnity medical coverage and options for dental, vision, life, and short-term disability benefits. Additionally, all employees have access to telemedicine, employee meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), tuition savings, and financial relief resources.
The physical demands of the cashier role include the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and the capability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, walk, and squat during shifts. The work environment may expose employees to flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises, requiring resilience to job stress and effective communication with guests and team members.
CEC Entertainment values diversity, inclusion, and the unique perspectives brought by all employees. The company adheres to all relevant federal, state, and local laws, including paid sick leave requirements and fair chance hiring practices. Reasonable accommodations are provided to enable persons with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Chuck E. Cheese is recognized not only for its commitment to guest safety and health but also as an employer that promotes growth opportunities, training, and a vibrant workplace culture where employees are empowered to grow and succeed.
