The Customer Service & E-Commerce Team Member role at Whole Foods Market is integral to providing an excellent consumer experience at the front end of the store. Additionally, the Customer Service & E-Commerce Team Member may assist in training new cashier employees and help manage customer flow during busy periods to reduce wait times. They are expected to support merchandising activities to maximize sales potential by properly prepping and stocking products. The physical demands of the position include lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, and operating various equipment safely, including box cutters and electric pallet jacks. Team Members must be flexible with their scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, and holiday shifts.

Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift
- Ability to perform single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling with hands
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet and cold environments
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters and electric pallet jacks

Job Duties
- Check out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
- Uphold government regulations concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
- Follow proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
- Use proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items
- Clean and stock Front End areas including own register
- Follow all cash handling procedures meeting regional cashier variance policy
- Assist with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members
- Control customer flow and backed up lines to reduce waiting time
- Participate in company programs as directed by leadership
- Arrive on time and ready to work scheduled shifts
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs timely
- Maximize sales potential through effective prepping, stocking, and merchandising
- Follow established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintain clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties including pricing accuracy
- Report safety hazards and violations immediately
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
- Complete assigned shopper training and tasks as required from November 2024 onward
