The Customer Service & E-Commerce Team Member position at Whole Foods Market is an essential role within the store’s retail operation. As a Customer Service & E-Commerce Team Member, you will be responsible for assisting customers throughout their shopping experience, particularly during the check-out process. This includes operating cash registers, performing all necessary cash handling functions, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in transactions. You will provide outstanding customer service by addressing customer needs, resolving issues promptly, and creating friendly and welcoming shopping experiences. Besides cashier duties, you play a key role at the customer service desk, support e-commerce order fulfillment, and help maintain attractive and well-stocked service displays.

This position also involves collaborating with other team members to support store operations, uphold safety and sanitation standards, comply with regulatory requirements such as Weights and Measures and alcohol sale regulations, and contribute to the store’s overall success by promoting company programs and initiatives. Team Members must be prepared to perform various tasks within the Customer Service & E-Commerce department, including assisting with shopper tasks and participating in training activities.

Job Duties

  • Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
  • upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
  • follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
  • uses proper tare procedures when ringing up scalable items
  • cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register
  • follows all cash handling procedures meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy
  • may assist with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members
