Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC ("CEC"), headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. The company proudly operates the iconic brands Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade, delivering fun-filled experiences to families and children. Chuck E. Cheese is famous for celebrating over half a million birthdays annually and is a beloved destination where children can enjoy engaging games, quality food, and a safe, entertaining environment. Known as "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®," Chuck E. Cheese is deeply committed to safety and community support, implementing programs like Kid Check® and having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofit organizations. Additionally, in 2025, Chuck E. Cheese received the "Best in STEM" award and was recognized among America's Greatest Workplaces, underlining its dedication to innovation and employee well-being.
Peter Piper Pizza provides a neighborhood pizzeria experience that combines quality food, captivating entertainment, and treasured memories, with its motto "The Fun is Baked In." Both Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza emphasize the importance of play, offering various attractions that promote physical wellness and the development of motor skills in children. CEC Entertainment, along with its franchisees, operates nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries. CEC fosters a culture that celebrates diversity, inclusion, and the joy of play, bringing families together through memorable dining and entertainment experiences.
The position being offered is a Cashier role at Chuck E. Cheese, an excellent opportunity for first-time job seekers or those wishing to build a thrilling career in the entertainment and dining industry. Cashiers serve as the frontline of guest service, responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prize distribution, and ensuring all guests have a positive visit. CEC offers a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees timely access to their earned wages rather than waiting for the standard pay periods.
This role comes with commission potential based on the sales of Memberships and Fun Passes, with commissions varying by exempt and non-exempt status and paid bi-weekly unless state laws dictate otherwise. Cashiers must possess excellent customer service skills, an energetic and enthusiastic personality, and be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds during shifts. The work environment is dynamic, including elements such as flashing lights, mechanical moving parts, and loud noises, and staff must be capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and walking during their shifts.
CEC Entertainment offers a competitive benefits package supporting employees nationwide. All employees have access to telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may opt for fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision options, voluntary life, and short-term disability benefits. Full-time employees averaging 29.5 or more hours weekly are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays (where applicable), FSA/HSA options, life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, legal coverage, and additional education and student loan support. CEC complies with state and local laws for paid sick leave and other mandated benefits.
CEC Entertainment is committed to creating an inclusive work environment where diversity is valued and discrimination is not tolerated based on any protected class status. The company prioritizes health and safety for guests and team members by maintaining rigorous health and sanitation standards that meet or surpass local regulations. Reasonable accommodations are provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. This role is an ideal entry point for individuals eager to develop their career in a vibrant, supportive, and fun work atmosphere where growth and advancement from within are highly encouraged.
