Each year, Chuck E. Cheese celebrates over half a million birthdays, dedicating its efforts to provide a safe, entertaining environment where kids can be themselves. Known as "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®," the brand champions safety through initiatives like Kid Check® and supports local communities by donating more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. The culture at CEC Entertainment emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and fun. The company fosters an environment where employees are encouraged to grow and develop their careers, with over 60% of managers promoted from within. At Chuck E. Cheese, employees, known as Cast Members, are empowered through cross-training in various roles to deliver exceptional guest service. This company is not only a great place for first-time job seekers but also offers rewarding career opportunities for those looking to build a future in the family entertainment industry.
The Cashier role at Chuck E. Cheese is a frontline guest service position responsible for engaging with customers, processing orders and payments, and assisting with prize distribution. This position provides an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop strong customer service skills in a dynamic and entertaining setting. CEC Entertainment offers both exempt and non-exempt cashiers commission opportunities on memberships and Fun Pass sales, paid out bi-weekly, providing earn-as-you-work financial incentives. The company also offers a "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, enabling employees to access earned wages quickly, eliminating the wait between paychecks.
Working as a Cashier requires an energetic and enthusiastic personality with excellent customer service aptitude. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and available to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Physical demands include the ability to lift or carry items up to 50 pounds and to perform activities such as standing, bending, walking, and squatting throughout the shift. Employees must also be able to manage job stress effectively and communicate well with guests and co-workers in a lively, sometimes noisy environment filled with flashing lights and mechanical amusement devices.
CEC Entertainment provides competitive benefits to support its employees nationwide. All team members have access to telemedicine services, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may opt into fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision plans, and voluntary life and disability benefits. Full-time employees working at least 29.5 hours per week are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid sick and vacation leave, paid holidays where applicable, FSA and HSA options, life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, legal coverage, and programs for education and student loan support.
The company complies with all applicable state and local laws regarding paid sick leave and other mandatory benefits. CEC Entertainment is dedicated to the health and safety of guests and staff, maintaining rigorous sanitation standards and operational procedures designed to protect everyone in its venues. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, CEC embraces a diverse workforce that reflects the many backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of the families they serve, prohibiting discrimination based on race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification.
