Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade across nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues in 45 states and 18 countries. As a family-focused company, CEC Entertainment is deeply committed to providing safe, fun, and memorable experiences for kids and families. Their mission centers around creating an environment "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®" by delivering joyful moments through a combination of great food, engaging play, and community involvement. With a presence that spans continents and a strong emphasis on innovation and inclusivity, this company stands out as an industry leader in family entertainment and dining.
CEC Entertainment fosters a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company celebrates the unique backgrounds and perspectives of its workforce and guests alike. Embracing a forward-thinking approach, CEC supports employee well-being by providing competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and meaningful career advancement opportunities. For instance, more than 60% of their managers are promoted from within, reflecting their dedication to employee growth. They also offer programs like the "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow," which provides employees immediate access to earned wages, enhancing financial flexibility.
The role of Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese is an excellent entry-level position suited for first-time job seekers or anyone looking to build a rewarding career in a dynamic retail environment. Cashiers are the frontline ambassadors of guest service—they take orders, handle payments, manage prizes, and ensure each visitor has an enjoyable experience. This role requires enthusiasm, excellent customer service skills, and an energetic personality, as it involves extensive guest interaction and teamwork. Cashiers must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that involves physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and navigating noisy surroundings with flashing lights and moving equipment.
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $16.90 to $17.90, with attractive commissions for membership and Fun Pass sales. Commission potential varies depending on whether the employee is exempt or non-exempt but provides additional incentive to engage guests in purchasing memberships and passes. The company maintains flexible scheduling to accommodate different shift availabilities, making this role suitable for varied lifestyles and commitments.
Beyond compensation, working at CEC Entertainment carries various benefits tailored to support employees’ health, financial security, and work-life balance. Employees have access to medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, paid sick and vacation time, employee meal discounts, tuition savings, scholarships, and mental health resources through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Part-time employees can access fixed indemnity medical plans and voluntary life and disability benefits while full-time employees enjoy comprehensive coverage options and additional perks such as legal coverage and student loan support.
CEC Entertainment prioritizes safety and health by upholding rigorous sanitation standards and compliance with local regulations to protect both guests and staff. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, actively ensuring no discrimination based on any protected classifications and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
Working as a Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese offers more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to grow professionally within a supportive, fun environment that values community and innovation. This position also allows employees to be part of a brand that impacts over half a million birthday celebrations annually while contributing to charitable efforts, having donated over $24 million to schools and nonprofits. Joining CEC means becoming part of a team that not only focuses on delivering exceptional service but also on fostering a workplace culture where every individual is valued and encouraged to succeed.
