Headquartered in Irving, Texas, CEC Entertainment has built a reputation for creating joyful, lasting memories for families through a unique blend of fun, food, and play. The company proudly hosts over half a million birthdays annually, positioning itself as the place Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®. Safety, community involvement, and innovation are key to its mission, with initiatives like Kid Check® and substantial donations exceeding $24 million to schools and nonprofits. In 2025, CEC Entertainment earned the "Best in STEM" award and was named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces, underscoring its industry leadership in both employee well-being and innovative programming.
Within its family of brands, Chuck E. Cheese offers an environment rich with entertainment and quality food, serving families in nearly 600 locations across 45 states and 18 countries. Peter Piper Pizza brings neighborhood pizzeria experiences that emphasize both fun and connection, with attractions designed to promote physical wellness and motor skills in children. These brands collectively champion a culture of diversity and fun, ensuring that family entertainment is accessible, safe, and memorable.
The Cashier role at CEC Entertainment, specifically at Chuck E. Cheese, serves as a critical frontline position in guest service. Cashiers are responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting guests with prizes, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for all visitors. This role embodies the company's commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence. CEC Entertainment emphasizes career growth, with more than 60% of its managers promoted from within, making it an ideal workplace for first-time job seekers and those looking to build a vibrant career.
The company offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $17.79 to $18.79 with commission incentives for membership and Fun Pass sales, paid bi-weekly. Additionally, employees can benefit from the innovative "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, providing access to earned wages without waiting for the traditional payroll cycle.
The job requires energetic and enthusiastic individuals with excellent customer service skills who can work various flexible shifts. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform other activities such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing/pulling, walking, and squatting. The work environment includes exposure to flashing lights, mechanical movements, and loud noises, reflecting the dynamic atmosphere of an entertainment venue.
CEC Entertainment prioritizes employee well-being by offering a comprehensive benefits package. All employees have access to telemedicine, early wage access, 401(k) plans, employee meal discounts, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may opt into medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options, while full-time employees benefit from more extensive coverage, including paid sick and vacation time, holidays, FSA/HSA options, and additional education support. The company also complies with state and local laws regarding paid sick leave and maintains strict health and sanitation protocols to protect both employees and guests.
CEC Entertainment is committed to diversity and equal opportunity employment. It values the unique backgrounds and perspectives of all employees and applicants, ensuring a workplace free of discrimination based on race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, and other federally or state-protected classes. This inclusive culture underscores CEC's dedication to creating a welcoming environment where employees can thrive alongside the families they serve.
