The role of a Cashier at Aramark is essential to their commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences. Cashiers at Aramark are responsible for greeting customers warmly, accurately processing transactions, handling cash and credit card payments, and maintaining a balanced cash drawer. The position also involves knowledge of the merchandise being sold to assist customers effectively and completing opening and closing procedures for the unit according to operational hours. Cashiers contribute to keeping the work environment clean and organized, stocking products to appropriate levels, and following all safety policies and procedures. This role may demand physical activity such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, and may require wearing uniforms or personal protective equipment. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in customer service and cash handling preferred
Basic math and counting skills required
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to complete required training such as Food Handler and Alcohol Service
Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended walking or standing
Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as needed

Job Qualifications

Previous customer service experience preferred
Previous cash handling experience preferred
Basic math and counting skills required
Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
Complete Food Handler and Alcohol Service trainings as required by location

Job Duties

Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions
Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits
Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures
Understand and be knowledgeable of the merchandise for sale to assist customers and accurately process transactions
Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned for unit based on operating hours
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during service and at the end of shift
Ensure product in location is stocked to appropriate levels throughout service and replenish items as needed
Follow all safety policies and procedures
