Job Requirements

  • high school education or ged preferred
  • prior restaurant or customer service experience preferred
  • must be professional polite and reliable
  • ability to work flexible hours including day to evening shifts and occasional weekends
  • ability to stand walk and perform physical tasks frequently
  • basic math and cash handling skills
  • commitment to food safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • ability to operate food preparation equipment safely
  • basic math skills for transactions
  • good communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • greet every guest with an enthusiastic welcome as they enter the cafe
  • take orders from customers at counter
  • prepare order and check that it is accurate before serving to a customer
  • operate the equipment required for preparing food and ensure that is working properly
  • maintain food safety and standards in food preparation and personal hygiene
  • enter customer orders and compute bill using cash registers
  • accept payment from customers and make change as necessary
  • keep items needed at drink-dispensing and condiment area filled
  • clean and organize dining and kitchen areas
  • notify management of food or beverage shortages
