This position is a crucial role within the restaurant, responsible for handling financial transactions accurately and ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service. The Cashier position requires familiarity with all menu items, including ingredients and potential allergens, and a deep knowledge of the wine list to assist guests effectively and answer questions accurately. A clean, orderly environment is maintained at all times to enhance the dining experience. Detailed attention is given to the cashier stand, ensuring it is fully stocked with all necessary materials such as pens, note pads, credit card vouchers, menus, and cash handling forms. Guest transactions are processed according to proper point-of-sale and cash handling procedures, including sales, payment processing, and making change accurately. Additional duties include answering phone calls and taking orders as needed, maintaining positive and professional communication with colleagues, and promoting a healthy, safe work environment for both employees and guests. The role also involves being knowledgeable of the property's facilities, services, hours, events, and amenities to proactively assist guests and enhance their experience. The cashier helps guests navigate the property by providing clear directions or escorting them when possible and works to resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally according to company procedures. A positive working environment is fostered where all employees are encouraged to maximize their potential, with an emphasis on teamwork and delivering exceptional service. Team members are expected to listen to feedback from guests, employees, and managers to understand strengths and improvement opportunities. Job Requirements

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal State and Gaming/Lottery regulations
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • Must successfully pass drug screening
  • Ability to present an image of excitement enthusiasm and outgoing personality
  • Ability to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Two months of on-the-job training or related cashier or host experience
  • Knowledge of menu items ingredients and food allergens
  • Knowledge of POS and cash handling procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and project enthusiasm
  • Ability to follow property procedures for guest complaint resolution
  • Ability to work flexible shifts

Job Duties

  • Be thoroughly familiar with all menu items including ingredients and food allergens and wine list in order to assist guests and answer questions accurately
  • Ensure restaurant is clean and in order at all times including tables chairs floors walls ceilings lighting temperature music memorabilia and décor
  • Ensure cashier stand is fully stocked with pens/pencils note pads credit card vouchers menus daily function sheet and cash handling and other forms
  • Process guest transactions including sales payment processing and making change according to POS and cash handling procedures
  • Answer restaurant phone and take phone orders as needed
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with all staff
  • Provide recognition to others including co-workers supervisors managers and directors
