Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • No experience required
  • Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs in some departments
  • Ability to move talk hear reach grab and perform physical activities involved in the role
  • Available to work a variety of hours including early mornings evenings weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Product knowledge
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems
  • Retail or relevant work experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to read write and interpret instructional documents
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers peers and management
  • Ability to communicate on the telephone with proper etiquette
  • Basic math skills including addition subtraction multiplication and division
  • Ability to use a calculator and calculate percentages
  • Ability to make change in American monetary units

Job Duties

  • Proactively engage and make a connection with customers
  • Asking questions and listening to customers needs
  • Directing customers to merchandise informing them about upcoming events promotions mobile offers STAR card
  • Provide premier customer service and build positive inclusive and respectful relationships
  • Maintain check-out area appearance and restock bags packaging materials labels
  • Interact with customers to ensure they found everything they needed
  • Make suggestions to customers on latest trends and current promotions
  • Use a Point-of-Sales system to process payments including cash handling and discounts
  • Maintain change funds and accounts for sales receipts
  • Complete various paperwork reports and reconciliation
  • Manage inventory processes and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
  • Adhere to assigned work schedule and complete work assignments accurately
  • Perform other duties as assigned
