Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior experience in cashier or sales role preferred
Ability to stand and move frequently on hard surfaces
Capability to lift objects up to 30 pounds regularly and heavier with assistance
Basic knowledge of handling cash and point-of-sale systems
Ability to work flexible hours and maintain regular attendance
Commitment to provide excellent customer service
Adherence to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

Basic math skills preferred
Prior cashier or sales experience preferred
Ability to provide high levels of customer service
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Positive and friendly attitude
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner
Verify, renew, and upgrade memberships including loyalty programs
Scan merchandise efficiently and accurately
Accept various forms of payment including cash, card, and checks
Provide excellent member service and resolve concerns
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-line department
Assist with self-checkout and scan and pan lane operations
Meet cashier productivity expectations
Uphold BJ's Wholesale Club policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned including support in other departments when needed
Maintain regular and predictable full attendance
