The current opportunity is for a part-time Cashier position located at Carnegie Museums Oakland, 4400 Forbes Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role requires a dependable individual available to work Monday through Sunday with day shifts, including weekend availability. The hourly pay rate for this position is set at $16.00. As a Cashier at Culinaire, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient sales transactions within the dining facilities of Carnegie Museums Oakland. This involves handling cash payments, verifying the cash drawer, issuing change, and processing various forms of payments such as declining balance cards. You will be responsible for issuing receipts, completing cash reports, and adhering to standardized procedures for cash refunds. Exceptional customer service skills are essential as you will interact with patrons to resolve any concerns or complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
In addition to cashiering duties, you may assist with general food service tasks which include maintaining sanitation standards in food preparation, service areas, and dining rooms. Keeping the service counters well-stocked with condiments, beverages, and pastry items will be an important part of your role. You will observe and ensure compliance with portion controls and inventory management, uphold company service standards, and maintain adherence to safety and ServSafe sanitation regulations.
