Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to operate POS system and computer
- completion of ServSafe class with minimum 75 percent score
- good communication skills
- ability to read and write English
- physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, sit or stoop for extended periods
- ability to carry, push or pull objects weighing 35 pounds
- ability to work variable shifts
- commitment to follow DCH policies and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- must be able to operate a computer and point of sale terminal
- prior experience not required
- ServSafe certification with minimum score of 75 percent
- normal vision, hearing, written and oral communication skills required
- ability to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
Job Duties
- Receives change fund
- performs cashier duties
- turns funds and change fund into the responsible supervisor at the end of the shift
- completes all required records and receipts in accordance with policies
- enters food items selected by patrons into the POS system
- collects payment and makes change if appropriate
- gives customers receipts
- ensures that all cash and sales records are properly secured
- assists with simple food preparation, baking, set up and service of foods
- maintains cleanliness of work area and assists with cleaning dining room and other areas
- may work variable shifts
- adheres to all DCH Health System and Nutritional Services policies and procedures
