Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
1-3 months of cashiering experience preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
Ability to perform basic math including computing rate, ratio, and percent
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work assigned schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits
Accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
Maintain a clean working environment and personal workspace
Engage in conversation with customers to add a personal touch to each transaction
End each transaction by saying thank you to every customer
Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
