Founded with a mission to support communities and enhance home improvement experiences, Lowe's has grown to become a household name in the retail sector. Based in Mooresville, North Carolina, Lowe's employs approximately 300,000 associates dedicated to providing exceptional service and fostering community development. The company is committed to creating safe, affordable housing, improving community spaces, developing skilled trade experts, and delivering disaster relief to those in need, reflecting its strong sense of corporate social responsibility and community engagement. With fiscal year 2025 sales exceeding $86 billion, Lowe's continues to expand and innovate to meet the evolving needs of customers and associates alike.
As a Lowe's cashier, you play a crucial role in ensuring every customer leaves the store satisfied. The role demands the ability to provide a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience, which is fundamental to maintaining the company’s reputation for excellent customer service. Primarily stationed at the register, cashiers are responsible for managing transactions, including payments and exchanges, with accuracy and efficiency. Beyond handling sales, cashiers assist customers by answering questions, guiding them through self-checkout processes, and helping with any issues that arise during checkout. The role also involves occasional support activities such as stocking shelves and moving carts, contributing to overall store operations and a smooth shopping environment.
Lowe's offers a competitive pay range of $17.00 to $19.05 per hour for this position, with starting rates varying based on location, education, training, and experience. Beyond pay, Lowe's provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of its associates. Health, dental, and vision insurance options are available, alongside life and disability insurance, paid time off, tuition assistance programs, and a company-matching 401(k) retirement plan. Additional perks include an employee stock purchase plan, associate discounts, and educational programs like trade skills scholarships. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy solving problems in a fast-paced retail environment, appreciate teamwork, and seek an employer committed to personal and professional development. Lowe's emphasizes inclusivity and encourages applications from bilingual candidates, military personnel, and veterans to join its diverse team.
