As a cashier team member at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will be an essential frontline ambassador, responsible for processing member purchases in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner. This role involves verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering a variety of membership products, ensuring that all transactions are handled accurately and promptly. You will engage directly with members, providing excellent customer service and support at checkout lanes, including self-checkout stations, while maintaining operational efficiency and cleanliness in your department.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand and move frequently on hard surfaces
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly
- Ability to handle occasional heavy or awkward objects with assistance
- Ability to maintain a friendly and positive attitude
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Regular and predictable attendance required
Job Qualifications
- Basic math skills preferred
- Prior cashier or sales experience preferred
Job Duties
- Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner
- Verify, renew, upgrade, and offer membership products
- Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
- Maintain cleanliness of the frontline department
- Assist members at self-checkout stations
- Manage self-checkout and scan and pan lanes
- Follow club policies and procedures
