Team Members are responsible for scanning merchandise accurately and accepting different forms of payment, all while delivering excellent customer service efficiently. The position requires maintaining cleanliness in the frontline department, assisting with club housekeeping, managing self-checkout lanes, and supporting inventory accuracy. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to stand and move frequently on hard surfaces
- Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently
- Willingness to assist in different departments as needed
- Reliability with regular and predictable attendance
- Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems
- Ability to handle cash and other payment methods accurately

Job Duties
- Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner
- Verify, renew, upgrade and offer several types of membership products
- Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
- Provide excellent member service efficiently and productively
- Maintain cleanliness of the front-line department
- Assist in general club housekeeping when necessary
- Manage self-checkout and scan and pan lanes
- Assist members with operations and technical difficulties
- Meet cashier productivity expectations
- Maintain all club policies and procedures

- Exhibit understanding of BJ's membership options including renewals and loyalty programs
- Check out members in a timely manner
- Fill shopping carts when necessary
- Collect payments via cash, check, or charge payments
- Issue receipts or change to members

- Discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons
- Return re-sellable merchandise to sales floor area
- Provide service excellence through all points of contact
