The role of a Cashier at American Dining Creations in Dudley, Massachusetts, is pivotal in delivering outstanding customer service while efficiently processing sales transactions. Job Requirements

  • Prior cashier or retail experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Ability to perform light physical tasks related to stocking and sanitation
  • Must follow company policies and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Prior cashier or retail experience in a cultural or hospitality environment preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, guest-centered environment
  • Basic math and computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems
  • Creative eye for merchandising and presentation
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform light physical tasks related to stocking, display, catering setup, and sanitation duties

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and assist by providing product information and recommendations
  • Operate the POS system to ring up transactions quickly and accurately, including cash, debit, credit, and mobile payments
  • Provide product and menu knowledge with the ability to recommend and upsell products
  • Balance the POS system and reconcile cash at beginning and end of shifts
  • Restock, merchandise, and maintain displays to ensure an organized, visually appealing environment
  • Unpack, price, and stock new inventory shipments
  • Assist with inventory counts, sales reporting, and reorder recommendations for merchandise and supplies
  • Support the creation of themed and seasonal displays
  • Support dining team with preparation, catering, and delivery as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, displays, and all work areas
  • Provide feedback to operations about customer preferences and sales trends
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned including assisting with special events and guest engagement activities
