The Lead Cashier role at Aramark is a key front-of-house position focused on crafting memorable experiences for each guest through attentive and efficient service. This position involves overseeing cashier operations by training new cashiers, managing cash and credit transactions, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring a clean and well-organized environment. As a Lead Cashier, individuals will be responsible for accurately operating POS systems, balancing cash drawers, making deposits, and verifying bag deposits at the end of shifts. Training and guiding team members on customer service and cash handling practices is also a significant part of the position. Additionally, the Lead Cashier ensures service stations are well stocked and supports cleaning and sanitation activities throughout operating hours. Physical demands of this role may include lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing or walking.   • Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended standing or walking

  • Complete food handling training and alcohol service training as required

Job Duties

  • Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Greet and assist customers while delivering excellent customer service and anticipating their needs
  • Schedule and delegate work assignments to team and coordinate the completion of tasks
  • Train and guide staff members in customer services, cash handling, product knowledge and other application processes and procedures
  • Make change for all cashiers and verify bag deposits
  • Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits
  • Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures
  • Follow opening and closing procedures of unit or station based on operating hours
  • Ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels and replenishes and arranges items as needed to maintain location inventory
  • Assist in clean up and location sanitation during operating hours and at the end of service
